We were a group of 8 and a baby we also had some allergy restrictions.
Food experience - Unfortunately we had a cross-contaminated dish. It was a salad that was supposed to be vegan, unfortunately it had some of the tuna in it which caused an allergic reaction. Thankfully CVS is nearby and we were able to mitigate the reaction and continue the meal. The manager did speak with us and our server apologized and the manager said she spoke with the chef to make sure they understand the significance of allergies. But then our order of breakfast burrito was brought to the table with everything on the side, which means it was a “build your own burrito” scene - which was to say the least, unusual, the worse part was it was for the mother who had the baby in her arms. Very unfortunate experience and that had to be sent back so that th burrito could be, well, made into a burrito .
Service - The manager came only when asked for and checked back in at the end of the meal, she took off the salad only. This was a meal we spent over $500 and only the salad was compensated? We felt that given that this is a chef- curated restaurant, at a top notch location that probably, there could have been more accommodations made for such a less than good experience. We’re hopeful that this is just the staff that was there for the day but we were all pretty shocked at the scene that unfolded.
Overall - I’d say to limit the large group experience and if you have allergies - I’d certainly recommend another place. For small groups and drinks, I think you’ll have a good time.
