The Story of Josephine’s
The story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.

    Everything fine dining should be. Glamorous setting with movie star photos and crystal chandeliers setting the tone. Excellent pianist. Well trained servers who knew HOW and WHEN to serve each course, not rushing us through the meal. Salmon with lump crabmeat was perfect.

    Incredible restaurant! We ordered a large variety of appetizers and the lamb special to share. Every time a dish came out we thought it couldn’t get better, but somehow it did. The hummus, sea bass, foie gras, and octopus were all outstanding. The lamb special was without question the best lamb I’ve ever eaten and my friends agreed. The only thing better than the food was the service. Unpretentious and doting, all of the waitstaff was incredible… but ask for Brandon when you go. So fun, knowledgeable, and he bartends there too so he knows how to get those drinks right! We’ll be back. 10/10.

    Josephine is unequivocally the BEST dining experience to be had in the area! 💯! Every moment, from start to finish, divine! From the White glove service, rare in a rural town; to the unique menu and delightful server who beautifully articulated it, to the exquisite presentation of our meal. Every bite a true celebration of ingredients artfully prepared by the hands of a skilled chef! No special occasion required… Josephine in and of itself… is the special occasion!

    Overall we had a very pleasant dining experience. The service was excellent!!! Our waiter Kyle was very professional, and very knowledgeable about wine selection. The Honey nut soup and the Pear& Pistachio salad were exquisite!!! However, the Tako Tostado appetiser was a big disappointment. The sashimi grade octopus was buried under an overwhelming heavy smoked paprika aioli which overpowered the taste of the octopus. The sashimi octopus was sliced way too thick for a raw seafood. It felt almost like a “spicy bubblegum” with no taste of the sashimi.
