Chef Joseph Wrede is a Food & Wine Best New Chef, the winner of several AAA Four Diamond Awards, several DiRoNA Awards and has received both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast distinctions. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is a creation of Chef Wrede and his creative and business partners. This is the third incarnation of Wrede’s original Joseph’s Table, conceived in Taos, New Mexico, not quite 20 years ago, for which he is well known and loved within the region and beyond. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is designed to be a platform for Chef Wrede’s unique and uncompromising vision on traditional and contemporary cuisine, both regional and international. Regarding the restaurant as a process much like theater, Wrede envisions the experience of dining in his restaurant as an interactive play between the pub and the public, with his sights aimed at rivaling high art.

    Any staff we spoke to was kind, helpful, and friendly. Food was unique and wonderful. Vibe was moody, artistic, and cozy. 10/10 all around. Will definitely be back next time we’re in SF! 💛🧡🩵❤️

    Overall a good experience. The food was good, and the bussing staff was very good! Our server on the other hand was very disappointing. To hear her telling other tables around us the specials after we had already ordered and had not heard them was disappointing, and then to proceed only being checked on one time during our meal. The food was ok, but the service really dampened the experience

    Top notch service and top notch food. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine pairing. Lamb and steak were outstanding. This is now our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe.

    Excellent preparations and great service. Hamachi, Duck Pad Thai and Veg Napoleon were attractive and delicious. Kudos to Chef for a well assembled posole verde as well! Staff was attentive and caring even though they were packed.

    Always an amazing experience. I have the Duck pad Thai and it did not disappoint. So tasty especially with the Sriracha.

    Fantastic food and service, really enjoyed a night of splurging here. The polenta with goat cheese cream sauce (a starter) was my favorite thing we ordered. Wine recs were great, too. We requested a quiet table in our reservation and we were seated in a side room with a few other tables that was perfect (so I can't speak to the noise level in the main dining room but having a quiet room option was awesome to enhance our conversation.

    The staff including hostess, Erica, is excellent. We had reservations and our table was not ready but Erica made sure we were not ignored while waiting and secured a table for us as soon as possible. The atmosphere is cozy and bustling. It is not quiet and conversation is challenging. There is respect for diners with food sensitivities. We will go back.
