   My girlfriends and I decided to try this spot out after seeing so many TikTok videos lol. So we made our reservation and when we got there we were immediately seated. My friend and I ordered the hootie hoo I got mine with tequila and she got hers with mezcal and my other friend got the Momma Joyce, I did not like the hootie hoo I think it was all the different flavors in it, so I switched it out for the Punk Evan’s and it was soooo good especially the watermelon ice cubes! We ordered the corn bread, Mac n cheese and the Nashville hot catfish which come to think about it wasn’t hot at all but it was still good but the fried pickles that came with it was overly seasoned which was a bummer because I love fried pickles. We also got the maple roasted butternut squash and it was also good, and lastly we got the Cajun shrimp hush puppies and they were so tasty and had chunks of shrimp inside. And for dessert we got the beignets and they were to die for! The ambience was a lil loud but that just let me know everyone was enjoying themselves and having a good time. We will definitely be back this time during happy hour so I can try those oysters.

   Absolutely lovely. They took me in as an extremely short notice reservation and I had a great time! The Post Melon cocktail is tops! One of the best clarified milk punches I’ve had this side of the country.

   Our experience at Joyce left us wanting more! Everyone enjoyed their food, but the standouts included the cornbread, scallops, mac n cheese, and the octopus dish. We will be back for brunch and lunch, rest assured!

    Great place in DTLA with great dishes you won’t felt elsewhere. Owners were so nice and accommodating. A gem downtown.
