Save your money. You’re better off at the Keg. Food was mediocre at best. We finished our meal and were enjoying our wine and with no one else in the restaurant, the server asked us to honor the 90 min table policy and clear out. Literally no one else around. The owner chose to have the staff do their dirty work for them and decided to blame the customer. Absolutely lame.

Love the simplicity. Steak temperatures are on the rarer end, but the cuts are amazing and very flavourful, especially with their house sauce. Very friendly staff, had no problems adding another seat to our reso day of. Salad is classic, deserts are great for sharing and look stunning.

We had an amazing experience at J's Steak Frites on Queen West on November 3, 2024. The service was excellent, very nice atmosphere and vibe and the food was incredible! Hands down the best steak dinner we've ever had and it was the perfect meal for my spouse's birthday. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

The food was great but the service was veer rushy. For the amount of money we spent we were hoping to have a calm dinner instead of rushing us to finish the food because the next reservation was coming.

Overall experience was amazing. First time there and the staff treated us so well. Shout out to Maria and Sarah for being so accommodating and making sure we were well looked after. The food was splendid and the cocktails were made to perfection! We appreciate the entire team, as their efforts are well recognized! Thank youuu!!

Loved the place and the food, went there for my boyfriend’s birthday and the service was amazing, all the servers are great and we’re making sure we were having a good time.

I would definitely order a doneness level above what you would usually get. We ordered medium rare and medium but it was much closer to rare and medium rare. Otherwise, it was good!
