Perth’s favourite Italian restaurant, located at the Holiday Inn West Perth, has its home at the former residence of one of Perth’s menswear moguls. Built in 1902, the heritage-listed building was carefully restored on the exterior to accommodate the modern restaurant, whilst paying homage to the iconic history it holds.

Our Executive Chef along with his passionate team, has developed a delicious menu inspired by the authentic and wholesome flavours of Italy. Featuring a delicate Cicchetti menu, fresh house made pasta and a spread of hearty mains – discover an Italian dining experience to remember at Julio’s.

    Sorry to say, this experience was far from enjoyable. Only good thing was the wine. Service was slow and average. Starter… ok That’s were it ends. Pasta mains … terrible and un eatable. Stoggy over cooked pasta… way way way over salted, as if the chief dropped the salt container into the meal. Over cook meat in ragu and seafood. Kids running around the restaurant in controlled. All for premium pricing… very dissatisfying and disappointing.

    I love this place, food, ambience and the service. Staff is amazing. I have had margarita pizza, Arancini, chicken lollipop, risotto, scallopine, Campanelle with wild mushrooms, vanilla pannacotta and orange torta, Sicilian margarita, negroni. Service was amazing, staff is amazing. Ambience is perfect 🤩 Thanks Julio’s

    Little choice on the menu for vegetarians. Wait staff did not register that we were vegetarian and seemed absent-minded. Ordered a veggie pizza and salad and were given a lamb pizza, waiter apologised. Requested plates for our pizza - the waiter went to get them but she did not return nor did the plates arrive. Wait staff do not appear to be trained and seem indifferent towards diners so the service is not efficient.

    Very disappointing. The food was over priced for meals that were unedible. The service was ok... however when we booked on open table, we booked the 4 course option and we got to the restaurant, the waitress said they don't offer that option anymore. We were disappointed from the start, will never go here again.

    Food was outstanding. Could not fault, unbelievable talent coming from the kitchen. Chicken and mushroom masala was the STAND OUT, roasted eggplant as perfect, seafood pasta so delicious - the bisque was the perfect balance with some nice smokiness. Huge servings. Unfortunately the service was lacking. Staff were nice but not attentive, dirty entrees plates left on table, cutlery not renewed for main course, had to call over for order to be taken, meals not checked after trying and had to go to register to settle the bill. Do expect more for service when ordering 3x courses and $40 /main. Still would love to return again to Julio's.

    Only concern was with my dish which was the spaghetti with clams had a good amount of sand in it which was unpleasant. And the pasta was all clumped together. Otherwise great venue look and space for a date.

    We booked a am breakfast table but it wasn’t set up when we arrived. We had to sit separate from our kids. My daughter got a big caterpillar in her strawberries from the buffet fruit platter and dirt, it appeared the fruit hadn’t been washed. Our adult breakfast were really nice though and the coffee was good. We couldn’t get the buffet coffee machine for work though so had to order from the restaurant which cost extra.

    We had a relaxing Sunday dinner for two. The restaurant was not very crowded, which made the whole experience worthwhile. The staff was very friendly and helpful during the service, and went out their way to accomodate our request. The food was absolutely delicious ie. Swordfish dish as a main, and for desert pannacotta with poached pears. All accompanied with a classic glass of rosè and focacccia. Compliments to the chef, thank you for a wonderful experience. Will definitely return.
