Waitress for very attentive and so was the bartender! We loved the sushi and also ordered a few other types of food.

Food is always good. My husband loves the Bento boxes and I usually get either the Honey Sesame shrimp or the shrimp tempura sushi roll. House wine is Canyon Road which is one of our favorites and is reasonably priced. Service is excellent!

The worst yellow curry. I could have sworn I've had great chicken yellow curry at this restaurant but today I ordered it and it looked and tasted like chicken risotto, not yellow, no flavor, the blandest thing I've eaten in a long time.

We went on a Friday night and were glad to have made reservations because every table was full. Great sushi and Thai Fried Rice, would definitely go back. Probably would not get the vegetable tempura appetizer again.

Excellent sushi, best in Jax in my opinion. Wish it were a little quieter in the restaurant. Unfortunately, and especially with all of the tile, it's crazy loud in the dining room.

Kamiya is one of the newest sushi places in Jacksonville, and has done a great job of attracting a young and vibrant crowd. Usually great service, a few of the waitresses already remember us when we go back. I have been noticing some of the younger crowds are partaking in saki bombers, when they slam the table and shout boisterously. We stopped going to another sushi place across the street, which we ate at every week for over three years, when this nonsense started. Sushi restaraunts: have some respect for yourselves and do not offer saki bomber service. It offends those of us who are looking for a nice dining experience. If you want to be a loud frat bar, you will lose customers.

This was our first visit, even though we have been to Pacific Fusion, a sister restaurant that is similar, on 3 or 4 occasions. We prefer Kamiya. It is smaller and more intimate but still feels like a hip Tokyo bistro. We started with Crab Rangoon, perfectly cooked and with an added herb that made it jump out over there versions. My wife had General Tso's chicken, which was crispy and rich and was enough for two more meals. I had the crispy duck over seasoned rice that was just perfect. The duck was not overly spiced so you could taste the succulent goodness of well-cooked duck. I gave 4 stars to the service only because we had a new waitress, being mentored by a more experienced one. She had a slight problem with our english but was eager and attentive and her back-up caught any mistakes immediately. We will return soon.

My husband and I enjoy asian food but were disappointed in this restaurant. The decor and service were wonderful and the menu was extensive (perhaps trying to do too much) but the food was only so-so. I ordered vegetable tempura and although the serving was generous and beautifully presented, the coating was not very crisp. My sushi roll was mushy and didn't appear or taste layered. My husband's curry was just OK. We may give it another chance hoping they were just having a bad night.
