Great bartender. But the restaurant was a big disappointment! Were given a small menu with only five entrees. When we went to order we were told neither of those two items were available! Why didn’t the waiter tell us that when he brought the menu! The “quiche” we ordered was pathetic…and very small, served with a “salad” that consisted of a handful of arugula and some shaved carrots! Very disappointing! Crème Brûlée was not crème brûlée - some kind of bland pudding! $133.00!

Such a poor menu. This place has a very mediocre menu and is large and cold. It is more like a train station in that it’s a big room for such a mediocre menu. The music center restaurants should all be good but only Abernathy’s is. Kendall’s is never warm and inviting.

The menu has improved and our meals were better than what we've experienced for the past couple of years. The service was excellent.

It is about time that they changed the menu. I like the fact that there are more choices and some specials, though my husband misses the Croque Monsiuer.

Was there for brunch before a show at the Amundsen theater. We had settled on two menu items to order and then our server told us they were both not available. It was one substitute. Quiche Lorraine. It was good but small portion. We ordered as an appetizer, roasted brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze, goat cheese, and dried apricots. This was the star of the meal! our waiter was very attentive and personable.

The food was not good at all. The quiche was so oily it had to be sent back. The onion soup had bread that was so hard it couldn’t be cut with a regular knife and there was little cheese. The mussels were good but the bread that was supposed to be served with them had to be requested multiple times. The waiter was nice but the restaurant was understaffed. The host was unfriendly.

Overpriced. A small cup of french onion soup for $18?! Maybe I'm just a small country bumpkin but that's robbery. You're held price captive due to proximity to the LA Music Center. Transitioning with new chef we were told . Dont expect price gouging to change but hopefully the menu can improve with better options.

Ordered French onion soup and Duck Confit. Both were pretty awful. Looked right but duck was greasy and taste was lacking in both fidhed. A restaurant shouldn’t claim to be a “French Bistro” if they can’t even do the basics. Very disappointing.

The food--chopped salad, brick chicken, sweet potato soup and loup de mer were good. The French onion soup had a very thick cheese/bread topping. the service was not attentive.

The standards (French onion soup, charcuterie, steak, and desserts) are still solid and enjoyable. Some of the revised side dishes and entrees are not entirely up to par - such as the balsamic brussell sprouts being almost blackened, and many of the simpler French dishes now bordering on plainness due to cutbacks in either ingredient selection or making the recipes simpler. It's still a good option for attending the theatres, but it could be much better.
