At Kindling we believe that great steak should be for everyone. Located in the heart of Brighton, our restaurant offers a laid-back dining experience with great value, quality beef cooked over charcoal and live fire.
Our open kitchen lets you see all the action up close. Witness the skill and passion of our team as they cook your steak to perfection.

We focus on quality and value, creating a casual environment that makes everyone feel at home. Kindling is perfect for casual business lunches, family get-togethers and catch-ups with friends.

Our menu is simple but spot-on. It features grass-fed British beef and delicious cocktails, wines, and beers that perfectly complement your meal. On Sundays and Mondays, we serve our Sharing Roast for two alongside our regular menu.

Lovely steak and great value. Really vibrant atmosphere so great for catching up with friends. Every steak was cooked to perfection

Absolutely shocking to be honest. Our table was not ready at 7pm, we had to wait 10 minutes for that to be ready. We had to ask to order our drinks, we then had to ask to order our food our drinks took that long. When I ordered a snack that took over 15 minutes for some nuts, when the waiter then said she forgot. The food arrived cold, but wasn’t bad. The finished plates were then sat with us for 15+ minutes so had to ask for the bill before they cleaned up our table; then had the cheek to ask for a service charge after how bad it was. Will never be returning. The owner/manager was also very rude and just chucked our change onto the table with a very faint “thanks”

Nice food. Staff seemed a bit stressed and weren't very friendly. I've worked in hospitality myself and always made a point of NOT clearing up and getting ready to leave whilst customers were still finishing their meals. We felt quite unwelcome by the time we left.

We booked this restaurant on the recommendation of a colleague and were very happy we had ! We dined on a Monday night which meant we could order the roast dinner to share - it was absolutely delicious ; perfectly cooked cote de boeuf , lots of gravy, roast potatoes to die for, large fluffy Yorkshire puds and deliciously charred vegetables - we were very happy !! The staff were friendly and service was prompt. We also just managed to finish our desserts which were delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant for quality of food , service and value for money - will definitely be back when in Brighton again !

Food was fabulous for Sunday lunch. However our waitress wasn’t so much. More staff straining needed. However - it wasn’t so terrible to detract from a really good Sunday lunch .

The roast was quite amazing, great service and a good wine list. The Expresso Martinis were exceptionally good! We will be back soon.

Really lovely staff, very professional and polite. O my down side was the service was slow. Not the fault of the waiting staff. Steak was delicious and we thought it was all very good value. Just needs to speed up a little bit!
