Our lush oasis sets the tone as a social gathering place. Refined, but never rarified: Executive Chef Samuel Peery presents exceptional seafood of the Gulf, respectfully seasoned with bold, creative flavors inspired by the cuisines of France and the Amalfi Coast. Every plate here is a celebration of the shore. Our inspiration is European, but our influence is distinctly Louisiana.     This is a cozy comfortable place with great food and staff, practically hiding next to the Fontenot Hotel, a short walk from Caesar's casino and the Canal and Poydras Street hotels and the Riverwalk. It has a lovely bar and excellent but not foo-foo menu. We'd love it even more if they turned the music down a bit, but we could hear each other. We'll be back.

    We really enjoyed the ambiance, seating and drinks. The holiday cocktails were great. I love milk punch and the Papa Noel in the holiday themed glass was amazing. The service started off slow. It took a long time for the waitress to take our order so when she finally came, we ordered everything at once. After that, it all came out very quickly and the service was great. We ordered the bread service and gumbo which were both fantastic. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to enjoy our entrees. Probably partially my fault for not asking questions. I ordered the gulf fish which is always what I get no matter where I go so I didn’t think anything of it. I like fish and I’ve never had a problem. I always order fish. I guess I was expecting something more traditional, something that looked like a fish..white on the inside. When it came, it was sliced into chucks and pink on the inside, it almost looked like sashimi which I don’t eat. I couldn’t look at it. But I felt like I misunderstood so I didn’t want to send it back. I’m still not sure what it was. My husband ate it and gave me his burger but he had cheese and I don’t eat cheese so I really just ate the fries which were good. I still feel like it could have been more clear on the menu but maybe I didn’t read correctly. Giving it another try during the day with a large group on the Friday before Mardi Gras…hoping they’ll have some fun carnival drink specials because the drinks were a highlight!

    Service wasn’t good. We were a party of six, gratuity was automatically included, and that really impacted the service that we received. The runner spilled a drink on my niece and did not offer to replace it. We had to ask for it to be replaced and some of the food that we ordered didn’t come out and had to be removed from the bill at the end of the bunch. The atmosphere was fun (Taylor Swift Brunch) and other staff was nice. Our server was just EXTREMELY inattentive

    Wait staff and host were very nice but very very slow. Slow to acknowledge. Food was small in portion size. Dissappointed overall

    Food was good but our waiter was not educated on drinks. There was no bartender available either. They did not have margaritas or Prosecco available. Food was good but overall experience could have been better!

    Amazing experience and the restaurant is beautifully designed. The ambiance is welcoming and kind. We were able to enjoy a multi- course. meal without feeling rushed. Loved the oysters and wine pairing.

    We got the crawfish beignets (you get 4) and they were tasty. The water almost cost more than the beignets. Our waiter was super friendly and answered all our questions on the menu.
