Mingle in the Taphouse, the heart of the Kingston. Dine in our contemporary, 110-seat restaurant, with its comfortable private booths, inviting fireplace, exposed brick walls and display kitchen. Everything was fine - service, food etc. Not stand out but fine. 4:45 and 8 were my only options when booking so we took 4:45; I would rather have had a 5:30. It was weird and a little irritating that the restaurant was basically empty most of the time we were there. Hard to understand why we didn’t have more time options.

Pleseantly surprised since the outside looks deceiving.. Nice vibe, clean & bright. Friendly servers and good tasting food. We will go again!

Flatbreads were really good, ribs weren’t the best. Beer selection pretty boring but Guinness is always nice. Unique spot for the area and not too loud.

We had a reservation for 6pm 4 people for Nov 16 2019. Upon arrival after confirming online we would be there, we were told the other people in our party was at our table. This was impossible since they had called us and would be a bit late. The hostess said well somebody took your table and she could give us another spot but had to be out in 45 mins because they had a big group coming for the Canucks game. Also told us they had lots of reservations so had no table for more than 45 mins. Upon having a bit of heated discussion she found us a table. When we got seated we looked around and there were lots of empty tables, also when 7 pm the start of Canucks game came low and behold no big groups for the game. The server was great and that’s about it. Would never recommend this place after the hassle we had gotten even though we also had a reservation.

I made a reservation and the table was available when we arrived a few minutes early. The waitress was polite and informative. Was not pushy. The food was served quickly and it was hot. the waitress was available if we needed her but she also left us alone to enjoy the ambience.

This was such a nice surprise! My husband and I were looking for a restaurant to go to before a concert on Sunday and we decided to give the Kingston Taphouse & Grille a try. I'm so glad we did! I had the blackened chicken club sandwich and it was, without a doubt, the best chicken sandwich I've ever had...absolutely delicious! My husband had a pasta dish that was amazing as well...very fresh and served piping hot! All the servers were super friendly and actually took an interest in what we were doing that evening! Thank you for a wonderful start to our evening...we'll be back!!!
