Appalling Experience
I recently visited this restaurant, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
1. Cleanliness Issues: The table was filthy when we arrived, and I had to ask for it to be cleaned. Both the plates and glasses were dirty, which is unacceptable.
2. Limited Beverage Options: They only had tap water available—no sparkling or bottled water—which I found very strange for a restaurant.
3. Poor Service: We had to repeatedly ask for basic necessities like water and cutlery. The staff seemed inattentive and unorganized.
4. Under Construction: The dining room was under construction, offering limited seating options in a shabby setting. This should have been disclosed before booking.
5. Heating Issues: The heating was unbearably high, and when we asked for it to be adjusted, we were told it couldn’t be turned down due to the “new” tables—though they certainly didn’t look new.
6. Overcharging: The billing process was appalling. We ordered a menu for two but were charged for each item individually, inflating the bill from £70 to nearly £200. To make matters worse, additional items we didn’t order were added to the bill, and I had to insist on a correction.
Having visited this place several times before, I can confidently say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I won’t be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
