Sungchul Shim, formerly of Per Se and most recently Neta, opens his first solo project Kochi in Hell’s Kitchen
KOCHI - Korean for ‘skewer’- a tasting menu of skewered dishes as well as menu items inspired by traditional Korean cuisine that’s built around seasonality and balance.
We are proud to present this menu as an homage to traditional Korean flavors elevated by the hand of gastronomic technique. Incorporating the freshest local ingredients daily, this is our exquisite interpretation of Korean cuisine.

I booked a reservation with Kochi one month in advance, for a meal celebrating an important anniversary. The restaurant texted me at 5:00p on the night of the reservation to inform me that they were closing for a “technical issue.” This type of last minute cancellation gave me insufficient time to find alternative plans. Extremely unprofessional!

The holiday menu was simply delicious! The service was phenomenal. I appreciated that the chef made changes to the menu to accommodate someone in our party with shellfish allergies.
