Pierre Koffmann's name has been synonymous with some of the finest French food in Britain for over 35 years and Koffmann's venture at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge serves to reinforce this. Until 2001, Koffmann ran his three-Michelin starred restaurant La Tante Claire at the hotel and it is therefore great to see the legendary chef return. This time, Koffmann brings a more relaxed and informal style menu while still embracing his classic, provincial, French culinary roots. Good news for those who have tasted Koffmann's legendary dish - pig's trotter stuffed with sweetbreads and morels – and even better news for those who haven't had the opportunity yet. The menu includes full flavoured robust French food and seasonal produce, including signature dishes from Koffmann's culinary career such as scallops with squid ink and pistachio soufflé which are rightfully famed for flavour and technique.
