Koi Los Angeles is a sophisticated blend of feng shui and modern elegance. Illuminated by candlelight, the natural and intricate details of the Zen inspired earth-toned colors, sleek design, fireplaces and waterscapes all create the perfect setting.
Koi's contemporary Japanese cuisine utilizes local and International ingredients. Among Koi's popular signature shared plates are Koi Crispy Rice topped with your choice of Spicy Tuna; Yellowtail Tartare Truffle Avocado, Filet Mignon; Hamachi Fusion with Soy Yuzu and Truffle essence. Signature entrees include Miso Bronzed Black Cod with Seasonal Vegetables; Peppercorn Filet Mignon "Toban-Yaki" with Shishito Potato Mash; and Grilled Chilean Sea Bass with a Habanero Truffle Sauce. In addition to our signature rolls, Koi's sushi chefs present traditional topmost grades of seafood, including daily selections which are often celebrated by the modern and adventurous palate.

Lovely restaurant. Very upscale and comfortable. The food was really good although it’s a bit in the expensive side. Great for special occasions and date nights. Service was excellent!

havent been here since the original Koi in the early 2000s. they still have it! the service was excellent, the drinks were great, and the food fantastic- tempura shrimp, crispy rice tuna, all the rolls, and the sea bass. also, lychee martinis were A+. will definitely be back more often

Enjoyed a nice evening out with delicious shareable plates, great service from the valet, to our sweet server Hayley, and all those that helped her bring platters out and pick them up. The cocktails were tasty. 👌The ambience was on key. The lighting was romantic and the decor made you forget you were in busy L.A! Will definitely come back.

Beautiful aesthetics just lacking vibes. Music was very low and you can hear everyone talking over the music. Service was slow and server had no personality. Bussers were quick and polite, gave better service than the server. Mediocre Japanese American food at best. We ordered their sea bass, braised short ribs, baked salmon roll, crispy rice with filet mignon and their edamame. Lacked flavor and the sea bass seemed too fishy. We replaced it with their lamb chops and that was a disappointment as well. Chops had too much grisle for our liking. Spoke with Manager to give feedback and rather than solving the problem, instead he gave us reasoning and excuses. Will not return ever. Too bad the place is pretty, but that won’t last long if service, food and management are lacking.

Overall a great dining experience and an LA institution. I wish they hadn't gotten rid of the front patio, it was always a special place to dine on a warm evening. Drinks are tasty and and generously poured. Seaweed salad was not my favorite and the potstickers seemed a bit overdone but the rolls were great and the service was exceptional.
