Welcome to Koko by Bakan. Nestled in the natural tree canopy of Coconut Grove, our 6,000 square-foot indoor and outdoor restaurant & bar transports guests to Mexico with its sophisticated and artistic design, cacti garden, and outdoor bar & terrace. Our 170 seat restaurant & bar conveys a fun, lively and warm environment to enjoy a true Mexican experience - from our open view kitchen allowing guests to witness the art of handcrafted tortilla making to our spectacular display wall showcasing more than 400 mezcales and tequilas.

    Our third meal for a special birthday occasion. Food and service were disappointing, especially compared to two wonderful experiences before We requested birthday singing in writing but they forgot. Queso fundido was far too salty this time and cochinita pibil tacos lacked pickled carrots and onions from previous meals. We love their other restaurants and hope they can regain their earlier success at ko ko.

    We had a wonderful dinner last night at Koko. I had a mole with short ribs that was excellent and my husband had the sea bass tacos he devoured. Mathias was our server and did a great job. We have a few more nights in Coconut Grove and will be going back. Thanks, Koko, for a great evening!

    The chicken quesadillas are amazing. the Swiss enchilada wasn't the best. it had some cold ingredients inside. the spicy margarita with mezcal also very nice. I love this place and those black tortillas are great.

    The food was so tasty. The drinks were also very good. By far the best old fashion I’ve ever had. We sat outside and it was beautiful though we could reach out and touch the couple next to us. For 2 people with drinks the bill including service fee was $218 and we have additional tip because the service was very good. Would love to return to try other items in the menu.

    Started w the street corn, which is a little odd and bland. The salad was rather soupy. Drinks were watered down. Entrees were good, guacamole and chips were good.
