Located in the epicenter of Miami’s booming Brickell neighborhood, Komodo is a three-story indoor/outdoor eatery and lounge that combines contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine with a South Florida vibe to elevate the dining and nightlife experience. The menu features signature favorites including the Peking Duck, Tuna & Toro Roll, and Lobster Dynamite. The 300-seat restaurant and lounge offer several unique multi-level dining options including three bars complete with a handcrafted cocktail menu as well as the signature outdoor floating “birds nests” seating, which creates a playful treehouse feel perfect for any occasion day or night. Komodo is open for dinner seven days a week.

    This is not my first time at this restaurant – the food is great, and the atmosphere is fun. However, waiting another 2.5 hours at the bar after having a reservation is just too much. The table was at 10:30 PM, and we ended up eating at 1 AM.

    Reservation was at 9:30pm. My party and I waited until 11pm until we decided to leave because we were not seated to dine. This was upsetting because I was celebrating my birthday.

    Came to celebrate my birthday. Had to beg the hostess to seat us after 2 hours of waiting for our table even with a reservation booked months in advance. When seated, we had to wait 30 minutes for drinks the first round and another hour the second round. Asking for the check was like round 2 of begging the hostess to seat me. Never coming here again.

    Overhyped and Mismanaged – Not Worth the Visit This restaurant is a textbook example of style over substance. Despite having a 9 PM reservation, we were met with chaos—at least 50-70 people waiting for tables, indicating gross overbooking. After waiting an hour past our reservation time, we were finally seated, but the experience didn’t improve. The $30-$40 cocktails were uninspired and poorly executed—hardly justifying the exorbitant price. As for the food, it was utterly forgettable, lacking the quality and creativity you’d expect at this price point. The only redeeming quality of this establishment is its atmosphere, which, frankly, is not enough to compensate for the subpar service and underwhelming offerings. For anyone looking for a vibrant dining experience in Miami, Wynwood and Brickell have plenty of superior options with comparable vibes but much better food, drinks, and service. Save your time, money, and patience—this place is not worth the hassle.

    The reason we gave a low rating for ambiance is due to the table being upstairs directly facing the service station. View of servers and support staff actively working stacked napkins and an enormous amount of coming and going as well as congregating.We had planned on a real Art Basel blowout, unfortunately we ordered some light bites and left.We might give it another try on a quieter weekend so we can try the Duck & Korean steak.

    Horrible experience! We made reservation for 9:30 pm, few hours before restaurant confirmed the time. At 10:40 we still were waiting on line to be seated and it was a lot of people in front of us. We left with very bad aftertaste .
