Total Disappointment with Reservation Management and Value for Money
Booking at Komodo is practically a risk. To secure the reservation, they charge a $15 per person hold, which you lose if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or if you arrive more than 15 minutes late. Up to that point, it seems like a strict but understandable system. What’s absurd is that, despite arriving on time, we were made to wait over an hour to get our table. It’s obvious they overbook without considering the customer experience.
If they are so strict with their rules and the time they allow customers, why don’t they apply the same standard to their own management? They only allow you 1 hour and 45 minutes at the table, which makes the experience feel rushed and not very enjoyable.
To top it off, the prices are excessive for the poor service they offer. The food is okay, but nothing extraordinary. It definitely doesn’t justify the expense or the wait.
In short, they charge you to reserve a table and warn that they’ll only wait 15 minutes for you, but when you arrive on time, they can make you wait over an hour with no compensation. This shows that they only care about maximizing their capacity without concern for the customer experience.
The food is nothing out of this world, the service leaves a lot to be desired, and the value for money is terrible. I won’t be returning, nor will I recommend it.
