Koneko in New York, New York is distinct for many reasons, not the least of which is that it's populated by numerous cats. In fact, you can even adopt your favorite one. Fortunately, the menu of Japanese at Koneko cuisine is enough to leave even non-cat-people pleased. Numerous izakaya snacks are featured, for example, all of which are homemade. People also really enjoy the pork belly and seafood okonomiyaki. Koneko also sources many of its menu items from other local spots. The coffee, for example, is from Stumptown. The roast is changed regularly, too. The tea here is from Pursuit of Tea. You can order by the pot or cup.
