Dine in our blossom dining room or at our sushi cocktail bar

Our mission is to provide pure, plant-powered meals that are good for your body. Our approach is knowledgeable, playful, and engaging. We offer a unique opportunity to experience a different way of eating vegetables and discover new flavours and textures. Talented chefs behind Food For Friends restaurant (established in 1981 as Brighton’s first vegetarian restaurant), Botanique (Hove’s exclusive plant based restaurant) and Wolfox Coffee have put together their experience and knowledge to bring you this new Asian inspired plant based concept.

The result is a creative and colourful menu which shows organic plant-based food can lead to surprising, healthy and mindful new eating experiences. We believe in an upgraded casual dining experience in beautiful light-filled spaces dedicated to natural plant-based food and organic wines.

Let us take your occasion to the next level with our signature service. A private dining room with relaxed yet elegant setting inspired by a Japanese washitsu design. Accommodating up to 40 people for a seated lunch or dinner. The room is suitable for birthdays, weddings or anniversary celebrations and corporate events such as business breakfast, lunches or dinner, or offers the perfect venue for networking events and parties. Head Chef Reuben Waller creates seasonal menus especially for your event. The room comes with fresh flowers, candles, and place cards on requests.

We had an amazing dinner at kusaki. The food is so, so good. We were literally blown away by most of the dishes! The decor is beautiful, simple and tasteful, the lighting is just right. Perfect attention from Alex who was serving us. It was reasonably expensive, however we did over order a bit. This is my choice of restaurant for special occasion or a very nice lunch. Most of the menu is gluten free or can be, so tonnes of choice for me. I Highly recommend you go and experience it for yourself...

The food was spectacular. The staff were friendly. The downside was that they had run out of sake. On a Friday night. In a Japanese restaurant. That sold cocktails almost exclusively with sake in. But the food was delicious, so I’d go again!

Our family, including our 3 month old twin grandchildren were warmly welcomed for a birthday lunch. We were given a window table with plenty of space for the buggy, and the waiter took great care to provide something suitable to warm the bottles of milk. Meanwhile the adults could relax and enjoy the delicious, innovative fresh food. The Bento box is very good value, while the tofu and cracker nibbles and drunken rice were sublime.

We ate here on a Sunday lunchtime. There were only 2 other people eating at the time but we had a great experience. The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is delicious. In typical Japanese style, it is all lovely to look at and served on fabulous plates. Our waitress (sorry I can't remember your name) was also wonderful. The food comes out in stages so it feels very relaxed. I'd like to go back again at a busier time as I think it would have a nice buzz on.

Delightful and interesting vegan menu, with some well-executed dishes and some surprising twists. Lovely people working the dining room and bar. Laid back vibe, but clearly striving towards something special. A fun evening out.

Well executed dishes and flavour combinations, especially the tofu massaman, aubergine sushi, gyoza and soba noodles. The aubergine pad cha was less interesting. Delicious and creative desserts- the Thai tea cheesecake and coconut parfait sando were fab. Lovely service from the waiter and very accommodating with our 2 month old baby.
