Our group of 4 arrived on time for our Valentine's dinner, but were left standing for a good 10 minutes before we were sat directly in front of the bar in the noisiest area. Staff were loud and congregating on either side of our table all evening. We also asked twice that the kitchen door in the bar area be kept closed because of banging in the kitchen, but that was not successful. With the added large lineup inside the front door, the frenzy and noise only grew as the evening progressed.
It was an embarrassingly long time before we finally had to flag someone down to order champagne. Michael, when asked, told us that he and Richard, behind the bar, would be helping us. Richard did not leave the bar for the first hour of our stay and Michael was frantically running past us all evening. Having had to flag someone several times to order wine and appetizers was just another indication that we were not receiving proper service.
The food, as always was of the best quality, which is why we frequent La Bussola. The usual dedicated service is also another reason we frequent these premises. We have also taken into account that this particular evening was most likely one of the busiest of the season, but having spent close to $500.00 for a meal with no service was very disappointing.

That said, your concerns about seating, noise levels, and service are completely valid, and I regret that we didn’t provide the experience you deserved. Please know that I’ve taken your feedback to heart and will be addressing these issues with our team to ensure we do better moving forward. I have also responded to your email this morning as well.
