Our Los Famosos Culinary Team, from Mexico, only prepares top quality dishes using only the freshest (delivered daily) ingredients for our guests. Our bar is always stocked with over 150 tequilas from Mexico and around the world to serve up our famous margaritas, sangrias & mojitos. We welcome you and all of our guests from Chicago & around the world to dine with us, at La Cantina Grill.We are La Cantina Grill, an authentic Mexican restaurant in Chicago’s South Loop. Wednesday night, they had a vodka grapefruit margarita special, not really my style. Love me some tequila.. Our server Danny (Daniel) was not appropriate to this type of job - not focused on the order, messed up a couple of times on a simple order, never said sorry for the mistake, wanted to proof that was MY mistake instead, "are you guys done? Gonna hangout more (while we all had 1/2 drinks full) his body language was just..not appropriate. Overall, my companies and the food was great.

This place is small but the food is very tasty, I had a chicken taco, a chicken enchilada, a chicken tamale, all these very good favor's, my husband had a chorizo taco salad and a pork tamale He said the salad was good, but he prefer to have romaine lettuce not kale and the tamale was good. I had a Michelada for first time and it was very good! Over all this small place has really good food, drinks, and service! I recommend it!

The vegan menu at La Cantina is absolutely amazing!!! They don't skimp on the portions - I always get at least 2 meals out of my order! The margarita pitcher is also a great deal. If you come with a group of 3-5, the pitcher is a great option. The staff is very friendly and the music is great. Just take note that if you have a group of 5 or more, you will automatically be charged a 20% service fee. It's completely understandable, but be sure to note it as it was not highlighted when we paid and there was still an option to tip an extra 20% on top of it. Luckily I saw we were already charged so didn't double-tip, but good to be aware of!
