Located on the historic Pantiles, La Casa Vecchia and The Grey Lady provides Royal Tunbridge Wells with an authentic mediterranean dining experience. Family owned since 2005, we are a unique and independent restaurant. Among our more popular dishes are the parillada for two, Spanish fish stew, crab and chorizo tagliatelle, and Tunisian chicken.

    There are several parking options within a short walk of the restaurant. There is a Sainsburys five minutes away which offers free parking for up to three hours, as well as a car park within fifty yards of the restaurant which is reasonably priced.

    There are bus stops within a short walk of the restaurant. Several buses which go through Tunbridge Wells go down to the Pantiles. From there, you just have to walk up the Pantiles.

    Mostly good experience but we were told only 90 minutes into our booking that we had to vacate the table (immediately) for the next party. No prior warning was given that we were limited on time and we’d not even seen a desert menu. It took quite a bit of negotiation before the next party was given an alternative table. Almost ruined the evening.

    The warm greeting when we arrived at the restaurant made us most welcome. We were served quickly and our drinks arrived promptly. The lunch ambience was excellent and the excellent service was complimented by the fantastic Spanish menu choices. The paella was probably one of the best I and my guests have ever eaten even when in Spain. I’d have no hesitation in recommending this Restaurant and the team that served us and I will be returning with my guests many times again. Brilliant choice
