La Contrada offers a selection of appetizers, pasta, meat & fish, vegetarian, vegan & gluten free inspired by traditional Neapolitan recipes. Our plates feature some of our Campania signature dishes. There is something for every palate: lasagna del giorno, spaghetti w/ vongole, pasta with eggplants & pesto also for the vegetarian, tofu for the vegan, just to mention a few. The simplicity of our preparation & freshness of ingredients make for an unforgettable dining experience.

One of my new favorites restaurant in New York !! Tuesday night dinner was amazing. Great happy hour and food is fresh and testy. I got the Burrata for app. And for main course we share the osso bouco wich was so delicious with polenta. But I was really impressed with the service. William make us feel very welcome and he help us to make the right choices from the menu with out being pushy. I can’t wait to come back !! Thanks for a great evening.

Probably one of the worst meals I've had in New York. Charcuterie board was essentially those balls of cheap mozzarella you find at the grocery store. Octopus was so bad, and I love octopus. Everything else was a completel disappointment. Only thing that was OK was the burrata but I mean come on. I found it odd that this place was empty when we walked in despite the fantastic reviews while all the surrounding restaurants were packed. I never leave reviews but this was exceptionally bad and I really wish someone had warned me.

Unfortunately, while my food was quite tasty, everyone at my table (of 4) was disappointed in the service (very slow though you could tell one employee beyond the bar was trying very hard to being everything to everybody). At least one other person at our table was disappointed in the quality/taste of her food and two were disappointed in the portion size. I asked for Frank (the owner?, who I'd confirmed my reservation with about a week before we went in) and a gentleman who had introduced himself as Marcello earlier came over and said he was Frank...then later again said he was Marcello. Very confusing. It wasn't that busy, though it's a small place, so the slow service didn't really make sense. Pretty safe to say we probably won't be going back...Overall, good food, not very good service (though we initially were paid more attention to when we were at the bar). We've had better Gallentine's...

Not sure if it’s a new owner but the waiter tried really hard. The food just didn’t cut it. Disappointed evening. Felt like a waste of money.

We stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant when deciding where to eat with 8 people. The menu was great the food was great and the service was excellent. Cozy neighborhood place but worth traveling too.

With so many Italian restaurants in Manhatten, why dine someplace that has the worst gnocchi and the worst tomatoe sauce I've eaten. In the Italian food capital of North America, the food served here is sacrilegious.

They served us wrong quantities of dishes and drinks multiple times and we waited close to an hour for our entree to come out

We were extremely pleased with La Contrada. We had seen the menu on line and were excited to eat there. We went on a Sunday not realizing they would be serving off a brunch menu. We were quite disappointed having had picked our selections on line. However the chef was kind enough to allow us to choose from the dinner menu! The appetizers and main meals were delicious. I would definitely return and maybe try the brunch!
