For years, Paolo and Teresa Gaspari honored their Italian roots by bringing people together to enjoy good food, great wine and the company of friends and family. In 2019, John Ekizian took the reins and remains excited to continue the tradition of La Famiglia. The simplicity and perfection of fresh ingredients is the root of every meal we prepare here at La Famiglia, and all of our dishes pair beautifully with our vast collection of fine wines. From our pasta to our sauces, even to our freshly-squeezed lemon juice, we start from scratch. One bite, and you’ll understand the difference that handmade truly makes. Our courteous and attentive wait staff is ready to welcome you. Four of four of us were disappointed in our food. We have been there before and it was good, thus we came back. All of our dishes lacked flavor. Waited forever to get check.

Well they were busy due to Pioneer show and we did get seated at a tall table in the bar which we enjoy more than the dinning room, but I had to ask our server 3 times for bread. ( finally I asked a table busser and he brought it) The food was good but server never asked if wanted more drinks or even refilled the water. I know it’s Champaign problems but isn’t service what we pay for? I could have made the same dinner at home but we go out for an experience and enjoyment of the evening. I am not a complainer to a server unless rude and I will stick up for them if someone is being a jerk to the server. It has always been our go to before a show, However, I am falling less and less in love with La Famiglia

Worst experience at a restaurant. Took over an hour for food. Which, never came out because we had to leave for a show. Won’t be going back. Felt terrible for the waiter. Manager never even came to talk to us. Unacceptable.

I would like to sincerely apologize for our poor performance during your recent visit. We take great pride in our reputation as being one of the region's premier restaurants. I am extremely disappointed in our inability to fulfill that obligation with your group. Show nights can be very challenging and we try our best to provide a wonderful experience to all our guests. We have had multiple conversations to identify and correct critical deficiencies that created numerous problems and will work diligently to provide the highest level of customer service. Worst dining experience of my life. As a chef and connoisseur of fine dining, I have enjoyed several meals at this restaurant so I thought it would be perfect for my birthday celebration before an 8pm show. It was busy, as usual, but our server was inattentive and waited an hour before taking our order. The kitchen was short staffed (we were told much later) and this was not communicated with us, knowing we had a hard stop for the show. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism at a restaurant that sets the local standard for fine dining was so shocking and disappointing, we will not be returning.

I am very disappointed we were unable to fulfill that expectation. We are working diligently to resolve breakdowns that created multiple problems that caused such an unfortunate experience. The staff was excellent and the food outstanding. I recommend the house cab with anything. We had veal, scallops and lasagna and the wine was delicious with all!
