La Fortuna Bar and Restaurant is a family-owned restaurant, serving Italian cuisine and Brick oven Pizza.

Philly's, "the cuisine master", is the founder of La Fortuna Bar and Restaurant

Connecticut State and Italian food go hand-in-hand, like spaghetti and meatballs. In the late 18th thru the early 20th centuries, A lot of Albanian’s immigrated to Italy for many year’s where they have gotten tremendous experience in Italian Cuisine. Later they flocked Italy to the USA looking for opportunities in the New World, and brought their culinary traditions along with them to neighborhoods that later became Little Italy and Hell's Kitchen. Philly's the owner of La Fortuna Bar and Restaurant she is one of them.

Excellent food large portions great service. The pork chops were cooked perfectly we had a party of 8 and no complaints from anyone.

I ordered the Chicken Alla Fortuna and pretty much everything on my dish was dry. The artichoke leaves were dry (and I needed to spit them out), the proscuitto & chicken were dry. My husband said his clams in his linguini & clams dish were great, except the linguini was drowning in the liquid. After placing our order and sitting for about 20 minutes, we had to ask for bread and the peppers/onions. We had not been to this restaurant in about one year and now I think I remember why...

Service was unacceptable. Table was not ready at time of reservation even though there was a table ready. Had to wait 15-20 minutes. Then was immediately rushed into placing orders as soon as we sat. No one returned to see how the meal was or refill water. Will not be retuning

Very good food. We all took some home as the amounts are good sized. Service was great, waiter was very attentive. We go there often as we have always had a positive experience.

The food was outstanding and the portions were huge! The people were so nice to us and so patient with our tribe of children. It was very pretty in there, nice ambience. We would definitely go back!

Food was wonderful! Great value for the price, portions are very generous. I had the tagliatelle and it was outstanding. Had to have had a pound of pasta. Staff was very pleasant and attentive, would definitely return in the future.

Best Italian food in CT! La Fortuna always delivers a great meal in a beautiful restaurant! And they make awesome mixed drinks and chocolate martinis!!
