La Grande Boucherie blends the ambiance of an indulgent steakhouse with a refined Parisian brasserie charm, and fuses traditional French cuisine with Chicago’s River North culinary heritage. The two-story restaurant boasts custom curved stained-glass windows overlooking the bustling streets of Chicago. Overpriced. Food was not hot. Sides were barely warm. Service not up to the level it should be at 5hat price point. Room was festive

Le grand Boucherie was quite the experience. The restaurant itself was beautiful. Warm and cozy yet elegant and refined. We start with the foie gras and the French onion soup. The soup was hot and tasty with a perfect ratio of cheese and soup. The foie gras was smooth and flavorful. For dinner we had the branzino which was the entire fish and broiled perfectly and deboned completely. The scallops were tender and juicy, the steak frites cooked to order. Don’t miss dessert. The profiteroles were amazing with the chocolate sauce poured at the table so the ice cream is not melted. We almost ordered a second helping!

We had a great dining experience. Kami was our server and she was fantastic: very professional and friendly. Food was very tasty and nicely presented. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The Thanksgiving special food was just okay. Next time I won’t sit at the bar. It was the second time and both times the service I got at the bar was lousy.
