La Nouvelle is the next story in our culinary journey by Michael Lugo. This opportunity to bring French Nouveau cuisine to our city has us so excited. Bringing to the helm Matthieu Landillon from the coastal city of Marseille, La Nouvelle allows us to explore classic French Bistro fare with an elevated edge. The atmosphere will lead you to the streets of Paris without leaving St. Augustine.

    We had a delightful meal on the porch on a beautiful day. The Salad Nicoise is fabulous. My friend had the monk fish special and raved about it. Highly recommend.

    As always, excellent food. Service from Ariana was attentive yet subtle. Just right. Sarah is always excellent as front of house manager. Excellent wine selection. They had a high chair ready, without us asking. A most enjoyable and relaxing Sunday brunch, like a Renoir painting.

    The food, wine and service were impeccable. We had to sit outside, and it got a little chilly on the porch. Street life was interesting, as it was the first night of Night of Lights.

    Had a wonderful experience here. Staff is friendly and personalized our experience. The steak au poivre is not to be missed - steak was cooked beautifully, sauce was flavorful and just as au poivre should be. The moules frites was a real treat as well - it’s a HUGE portion, but cooked to absolute perfection. Wine selection and pairing recommendations were on point as well. Thanks for having us and leaving such an impression on us!

    Wow! What a dining experience! Paul was knowledgeable and attentive with great recommendations! Lauren, our server, was sweet, kind, and made the evening special. Oh, and the food was prepared and seasoned perfectly! The ratatouille (a side item) should be its own dish. It is out of this world. I have never had anything like it. Cheers to the entire staff at La Nouvelle Bistro for a memorable evening. We will be back!

    We truly had an exceptional dining experience on the veranda. The food was as fine as we expected with all guests having flavorful and well executed selections- Duck, Boeuf Bouregionne and fish. The overall ambiance was delightful as well as the staff was attentive and conversational- worth additional return visits.
