   We dine at La Piquette regularly, but one of our most favorite dining experiences is the Easter luncheon after church, which is a pre fixe menu. They do a perfect job of assembling some of their more popular a-la-carte items, as well as classic French dishes and some surprises. As one might imagine, we return for the excellent service, drinks, wine list, and cuisine. It’s always delightful.

   Although we were in one of the "outdoor" rooms, which we like, there were enough people to make conversation very loud. Would still prefer this to the much louder interior tables.

   Wonderful friendly and efficient service. The food was magnificent. Excellent bistro dining. The duck confit was perfection: meltingly tender meat and exquisitely crisp skin.

   All our meals were super-halibut, trout & coq au vin. It’s always noisy but worth it to have an amazing meal!

   We love this restaurant; it may be a neighborhood place but we come all the way in from Potomac to dine here; it is pricy but there aren’t many places to get sweetbreads and cassoulet and canelés… plus all the classic cocktails like a boulevardier or a sazarac…hits all the right notes for a French bistro!
