The Louisiana French Creole use the term “lagniappe” to describe something that’s “a little something extra,” and that's exactly what chef owner Brian Grimley knows it takes to transform a dish from mere food into an experience you never forget. Inspired by the culture and flavors of New Orleans, Charleston and Savannah, Chef Grimley's Lagniappe- Amelia Island combines the traditions of the French Creole with unique twists on Southern culinary staples using only the freshest local ingredients. The service was great. My problem was the steak. I ordered a filet mignon. What I received was more of a piece of sirloin. The only way it resembled a filet was it didn’t have a bone. Unlike most visits, the meals were lacking. My wife had the Short Rib dish which was so tough to the point that even with a requested steak knife was difficult to cut. She gave up and ordered dessert. How the waiter was so clueless to the situation was equally frustrating.有2人認為這對他們有幫助

We dined on the patio and loved the quiet ambiance. Our server was excellent and pointed out a great wine selection. However the charcuterie meat and cheese appetizer fell short. The okra on the plate was inedible and we assumed it must have been a garnish as we could not even bite it. The server questioned the chef and we learned that it isn’t normally like that but nothing was done to fix it. Our son ordered chicken strips and didn’t like them. He ordered shrimp cocktail instead. It arrived and our son said it was hard to eat. I tasted it and it was doughy and undercooked. We had to find our server after several minutes to let her know he would like a burger. When we received the bill we were shocked to see the chicken fingers still there. When we mentioned it to the server she said the owner, Brian, tasted the chicken strips and they were cooked correctly so no refund was given. Uh, gross and what? Any other restaurant at this price point would refund a meal that was disliked. We asked to speak to the owner. A manager arrived. She assured us that we would not be sick from undercooked shrimp. She said she knew this to be true because she is a mother. I am a mother and I am not reassured. Shocked the owner would taste food from patrons plates and that he didn’t take time to speak to us.
