The Louisiana French Creole use the term “lagniappe” to describe something that’s “a little something extra,” and that's exactly what chef owner Brian Grimley knows it takes to transform a dish from mere food into an experience you never forget. Inspired by the culture and flavors of New Orleans, Charleston and Savannah, Chef Grimley's Lagniappe- Amelia Island combines the traditions of the French Creole with unique twists on Southern culinary staples using only the freshest local ingredients. We prefer the main dining room to the indoor porch type dining room. That was where we were seated this time and although the food was good, we didn’t care for our seating area.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

We were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and efficient. The Gumbo was good, the Artisan Salad was excellent, Blackened Redfish was nicely prepared, and the Smoked Salmon Brulee was delish. Salmon Mousse was served with the smoked salmon. It was so salty, I couldn't eat it. After clearing our plates, she came back and said she had tasted the mousse and had the manager taste it; they both agreed that it was over salted. She took that item off our bill. The interior is nicely decorated. It was crowded when we arrived, therefore it was quite loud.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

Way over-priced. I ordered Crab Cakes. There were 2 cakes, a roasted potato and some thin, sliced zucchini & yellow squash blend. The menu had the price as MP, and it's embarrassing to inquire in front of a group. When the bill came, it was $55! Another member of our party had the flounder fish of the day, and it ended up being $46. My husband had blackened redfish and didn't like the preparation though he loves redfish. There were 6 of us in the group, and we have all agreed not to return. The server was very good. The decor is lovely, but it was noisy.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

If I take the time to make a reservation, which I did because it was my birthday, I expect a good table. We got what I would consider "a walk-in table," so close to the other table for two that the waitress worked us as one group (telling us the specials, etc.). The food was good, but the service was too rapid (ie. starter arrived before the drinks). I think we were in and out in an hour. We had a very enjoyable evening there. The food was outstanding. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the specials and made sure that we had everything that we needed for an enjoyable experience.
