Lake House is located on the shores of lake Daylesford within 6 acres of country gardens that also house the iconic hotel and spa.

The dining room holds 2 chefs hats from the national Good Food Guide and multiple awards for it’s cellar and service.

A team passionate about hospitality delivers beautiful, modern, seasonal food matched with wines from one of Australia’s best wine lists. Under the direction of Culinary Director Alla Wolf-Tasker AM, the kitchen work with great Australian produce including a raft of excellent small scale local suppliers and growers and their own Dairy Flat Farm.

The restaurant offers magnificent views through wonderfully large windows to the treetops and shores of the lake. Large expanses of outdoor deck also offer the opportunity for aperitif with beautiful views.

We had the most wonderful lunch at the Lakehouse.. from the moment we arrived till when we left (4 hours later) everything was perfect! The ambiance, the service and food would have to be up in my top 5 best all time dining experiences.. I’ve already booked to go back in November…

Was a wonderful romantic lunch in a beautiful setting. The food was superb and beautifully presented with enough variety with each course to suit most people. The wine menu was extensive with great advice from the sommelier. My only complaint was the cocktails were horrible. My husband ordered a negroni and it was a premixed bottle and I had a mojito, which was just bottled lime juice, rum and a small top up of soda water, it was sour and revolting. Where was the fresh lime and mint?

Very special lunch for three girlfriends who finally managed to get away for a night to Daylesford. I had dined at Lake House before for a dinner but was so glad we had the means to be able to dine here for lunch. The staff were lovely from the second we opened the door and they even chatted to us as we walked out to the carpark! Beautiful food, lovely cocktail choices and perfectly timed food and meal sizes. Thank you

Courses 1,2 &4 were outstanding. The Barramundi (wild)was also particularly enjoyed by my friend, who also really liked the pear tart tartine. We also really enjoyed the pumpkin canoli which for me was a highlight. The service and ambience were excellent. It was an absolute delight to savour such delicious food in a non pretentious atmosphere. The whole experience made my birthday special.

The food was very good. Unfortunately, with all the items for sale around we felt we were dining in a rather dated shop. My wife, who is gluten and dairy free, was faced upon being seated with a mini-loaf of normal bread, along with butter. After that, she had to check with the waiter about the food, the latter seeming to have no idea of the dietary requirements sent ahead via your website and carefully reviewed at reception on our arrival.

We are regular visitors to Lake House and make it at least once a year. I don't know how they do it, but the quality, flavor and experience only seems to improve. We had four courses, each one, consistently exceptional. We were looked after by the amazing Anna who somehow was able to make an amazing gastronomic experience...even better!

It was the highest level of a lunch time experience we have ever experienced.Staff were amazing we were greeted by everyone .Gardens and scenery absolutely beautiful.We are so proud to have this beautiful place so close to our doorstep.Food was a must have again the duck and pork cheek wow to the chefs.
