Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails is Mills area’s newest dining and nightlife concept. Playfully yet eloquently named, Lamp & Shade Craft Kitchen and Cocktails got its inspiration from the idea to ‘hangout and throw some shade in conversation’ while paying homage to the history of its building, previously The Lamp Shade Fair, well-known by locals for over 50 years.

The Asian-influenced tapas style menu showcases seasonal and local provisions of the Orlando community in innovative dishes that Executive Chef for Thriving Hospitality, Ryan Stewart, has meticulously developed.

Lamp & Shade's comprehensive beverage program features riffs on tiki classics tying back to the influential Asian roots of cocktails, pairing nicely with Chef’s selection of Asian inspired faire.

    Long wait even though we had a reservation. They were kind enough to comp us some drinks (after we asked them to do so). The vibe is cool. Very happening place with lots of good energy, and the food was excellent. It is LOUD! We sat at a four-top and I had to yell to hear the person next to me. Don't go if you want to have a good conversation.

    Very hip place, the ambiance regarding decor impressive. Cocktail selection amazing. We sat in a booth and even so was quite difficult to engage in conversation. The air vent blew directly on us which was quite uncomfortable after two hours. The food was okay with the exception of the shiitake risotto that was outstanding. The short ribs were grisly but good flavor. The food and drinks arrived promptly. Give it a try!

    Love The Place! Our waiter was very attentive. We order almost everything in the Menu and it was delicious. It’s a Tapas place were you can hangout with your friends and talk over some cocktails.

    We brought friends here because we love the food. Unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience tonight. Our server had to make our drinks because our food came out and we hadn’t received them yet. There were three people behind the bar, but we still waited. The restaurant was not busy. The roe on the tuna had a funny taste but the Caesar Salad Bites were spot on. We didn’t feel welcomed and will probably not be back. Our server did try but the overall experience was lack luster.
