Inspired by the great "beach joints" that once dotted the Atlantic coast, LandShark Bar & Grill is located at the Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade right next to the Skywheel. In the center of beachfront action by day or night, it's the perfect blend of ocean breezes, boardwalk action, great food, generous drinks and outstanding Beach Music. The menu is American beach food with a fresh coastal twist and, of course, cold draft LandShark and those fabulous frozen concoctions. In the evening, the scene subtly shifts to nightlife with the light show of the Skywheel and the sounds of live entertainment and street performances.

We arrived early for our reservation but were told a text would be sent when our table was available. This happened, and with two small children it was a plus. We were at the beach, so the half hour time-kill was not an issue. The seafood appeared to be fresh and tasty if you prefer fried food as we do. The Fried food was a solid choice as it was not greasy. our wait-staff was knowledgeable as well as attentive. A few people in our group of six have food allergies (Gluten and Lactose free) and were satisfied with their selection. The beverages were abundant and refreshing, as was the water

Location is right on the beach, so there’s that. We had peel and eat shrimp, followed by burgers, fish tacos and crab cakes. Nobody was particularly impressed with dinner. One burger was extra greasy and sent back. Fish tacos “tasted funny” and the diner had gastrointestinal distress later in the evening. Draw your own conclusions. Service was not up to par. Drink glasses sat empty on the table instead of getting refilled. Never did get the ketchup we asked for. This is a Jimmy Buffet place. While he was singing on tv, the sound was turned off so we could hear a live guitar player murder 80s slow songs. Just not a good experience.

Food was okay. Service was pretty good. Is on the pricey side for what you get but it’s to be expected given the touristy area.

Scenery on the beach was great. Food was solid but would not be the reason to come to this location. Food kept being brought out to wrong tables and drinks were forgotten about. Seemed overpriced for the quality but it was a nice dinner on the beach.

Our server was awesome and very friendly, like we were guests in her home. The food is about what you would expect from a chain restaurant, nothing wrong but not extraordinary. The view of the ocean from out shaded table was amazing.

It’s very meh. It was so incredibly hot inside. The fan above us wasn’t working. We had a reservation but still had to wait. I understand that both of those issues are not the restaurant’s fault but they could at least be accommodating. Like for example, they could have had water readily available. The server was nice and did her best. It was busy when we sat down but then cleared out. The food still took too long and was meh. Draft beer, meh. Prices felt high for what we got. The outside bathroom by the sky wheel was bad enough to just hold it until we got back to our condo.

When we initially arrived, we were told it would be over an hour wait since their " systems were down" for the reservation I had made significantly in advance. I had a group of hangry teenagers, so I pushed a bit, showed my original reservation and asked to have the coupons refunded I had purchased at the Skywheel. We were then seated within 15 mins. Our waitress, did not appear often ( we were repeatedly left needing items/ drinks) and the food was mediocre especially compared to our experience last year. They were out of sweet tea, the chicken tenders kids meal was way over cooked and dry. The seafood combo had cold fries and over fried fish that was not even chewable. Some of the others in the party did have good entrees (hamburger and fish sandwich) but certainly hit or miss. Really hoping this was a one off since we love love loved this restaurant in the past.

The atmosphere is fantastic there. However, service was extremely slow and I didn’t consider them to be busy at all. They also had plenty of staff so service should not have been slow. My alcohol beverage was not cold when it was brought to the table after a 10-15 minute wait of ordering it. Food was great! Hostesses also had a bad attitude and didn’t know what they were doing. They were telling ppl they were the next party to be sat then telling them they had 30 more minutes to wait after only 10 minutes.
