Langley Castle Restaurant - One of the Best Restaurants in Northumberland - Enjoy a romantic candle lit dinner in one of the best Northumberland restaurants. Langley Castle Restaurant has been awarded Two AA Rosettes for its fine Dining and is one of the most romantic Castle's in Northumberland and is an experience to savor, not just for that special occasion.

The menu offers a range of dishes to please every palate with a modern English twist.

Local produce, seasonal fish and local game are all specialities with fine wines to compliment the innovative cuisine.

The reservation was made through Open Table. On arrival, they had not transferred our booking to their dining list so were not expecting us. We then had to wait for well over an hour before our food arrived. We had no proper apology for this. The food was excellent and the staff friendly. We have been to Langley Castle many times and have always had good service before.

We stayed the weekend at Langley Castle and couldn’t fault the service. Excellent service and atmosphere. Definitely would recommend.

Beautiful food, fantastic surrounding, we stayed in the castle so it was lovely to eat there as well, and to just walk back to our room after, we started in the drawing room with a drink while we browsed over the menu and was then taken to our table where we received a complementary amuse-Boucher . Followed by our starters & main. I had the Butternut squash soup with goats cheese which was amazing and then the chicken for my main. The only thing disappointing was that we had to pay extra to have the pudding that we wanted and they add on their own tip on to the bill. Other than that it was a lovely relaxed enjoyable evening.

The service was dreadful - really basic stuff like getting the order right or making sure everyone got a meal, filling people's glasses, asking if people wanted another drink before they took the glasses. I could go on ….as for the food the portion sizes are tiny, the duck was like leather, the lamb tasteless and the risotto like a bowl of green mush - I recommend you stay/dine somewhere else
