L’Artiste Muscle was busy last night, but - as ever - was excellent. It is a gem of a restaurant with a delightful menu, great house wines, a perfect atmosphere and perfect service.

The cod was exceptional , cooked on a bed of vegetables and a creamy sauce. The staff are very attentive and the it’s a nice touch to see the chef cooking in the kitchen if you are upstairs

The muscle starter was fabulous, then followed by the cassoulet. Very authentic French food. A lovely bistro on Shepherds Market. I will definitely visit again.

Wonderful French provincial cooking with excellent chef. Could see him cooking and slick and professional at work. Food was exceptional. We had proper French onion with melted cheese. Wonderful. Main was beef bourguignon with mash - big quantity and great taste - best I’ve had. Highly recommend.
