Created by the founders of El Tiempo Cantina, Houston’s First Family of Tex Mex, Laurenzo’s Restaurant features the other side of their family’s Italian, Mexican and American Culinary Heritage. The menu, one of the largest in the city, is packed with recipes dating back generations, and includes fresh Gulf Seafood, Prime Rib, and home-made pasta. If you’re in the mood for good ‘old home-style cooking’ made from scratch daily with the freshest of ingredients, then Laurenzo’s is your place.     It was. BUSY Thursday and reservations came in handy. Not much of a wait. Food was DELICIOUS and Milton, our server was top notch! The value for the food and service is well worth it.

    Thursday is steak night. Very good value for the quality of the food. Milton is a very good waiter. We had an enjoyable meal and will return.

    Our first time here, celebrating an early V-Day dinner. Our family gave us some gift cards, so we figured we would give this place a try. It all started great! Ordered our drinks, ordered our appetizer , ordered our salads, ordered our meal. Got our appetizer, then waited a LONG time and we were wondering what happened to our salads, next thing we know.... Our main course came out. The waiter came to the table and we asked what happened to our salads? Well, I guess he forgot. He apologized and asked if we still wanted them. We didnt want to eat a course dinner so we passed on the salads and ate our dinner. The waiter felt bad about the salad and gave us a dessert on the house. Everything was delicious. We paid the bill with the gift cards that we THOUGHT were $25 each, so we gave the waiter 5 gifts for our $115 bill. The waiter came back, gave me back one gift card and said we were good. The waiter told us that the gift cards were $50 each and that we had more than enough to cover the bill. He thanks us and we were on our way. As I walked to the car, I did the math in my head and concluded that there was still at least $35 left on one of the gift cards we gave him. So we went back and told him that the cards were $50 each and that I had given him $200 in gift cards and that one of the cards still had $$ and that we wanted that card back. After looking in the garbage can, he took the cards out and gave us the gift card back that had $35 still on it. Even though there were a few hiccups in this evening, we still enjoyed ourselves and we WOULD FOR SURE go back.

    This is our go to place for a great meal and great atmosphere. You cannot find a more attentive staff. The food is always great and there is such a variety so everyone is happy.
