Our bar seating is first come first served. We recommend reserving space ahead by calling 316-364-4141 or reserving on open table. Welcome to our little oasis in the middle of Kansas! Lava & Tonic, Wichita's finest immersive tiki bar. Our normal hours are Wednesday - Thursday 5 PM - 11 PM, Friday - Saturday 4 PM - 12:30 AM, & Sunday 4 PM - 10 PM. Drop by at 1716 E Douglas, located directly west of the Donut Whole.

Please take note your reservations have a time limit of two hours! We require this in order to maintain proper flow in our establishment!

We came in for drinks to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere was so fun and we enjoyed that it was quiet enough to still have conversations! We didn’t eat this time but will definitely be back again!!

My wedding party came in the day of our wedding, several people were well past where they should have been for the night drunkenness-wise. Lava & Tonic handled it like champs and provided excellent service and atmosphere for our enjoyable night. Thank you for all you did to allow our wedding to continue on having fun memories!

Lava & Tonic is a must when you’re in Wichita. Fantastic drinks and decor. The music and lighting is on point. Tiki aficionados will appreciate easily the best tiki bar in Kansas!

Everything was great but the service. We came in and stood at the front. The sign says wait to be seated. There was a worker behind the bar and a waitress standing at the back of the bar talking with the bar tender. I am Unsure what they were talking about, but she looked at us and then continued on. No one said “give us a second” or told us to wait. We stood there for a while before walking back toward them, we then asked if we just seat ourselves. She looked at us then grabbed the tablet that was behind the bar and then said “I assume you don’t have a reservation”. I informed her that we did have a reservation. She then found the reservation and then sat us down. After that interaction all other interactions with the waitress were normal. I could have understood a little more if it was busy but there were 4 people total in the bar and they all were all ready seated and drinking. I just would have been nice for someone would have communicated and not just assumed we didn’t have reservations in the empty bar.

Great Tiki Bar. Decorated to the max to make you feel that you just stepped onto the islands for a drink. The Rum cocktails were delicious and service was quick and attentive. The food was in short supply and limited.

We only had drinks, so I can’t speak of the food. The drinks were great. Loved the music and the ambiance.

Best tiki bar on the prairie! The ambiance was perfect, all the drinks were delicious. The snack tray is a genius move.

The Malaysian Pitbull and the Basic Batch were both delicious if you enjoy sweet cocktails. Beautiful atmosphere for such a small place. Noise levels really depend on who's in the bar- there were a couple louder patrons when we went, but once they left it quieted down a lot. The "speak easy vibe" without signage outside probably keeps the amount of customers down to people who already know where the bar is.
