LAVO Los Angeles is a 250-seat coastal Italian restaurant designed for an unparalleled, year-round alfresco dining experience. The restaurant offers an elevated indoor and outdoor dining experience while boasting a spacious sun-drenched dining room with a retractable roof, operable windows, and luxurious Italian furnishings throughout.

The kitchen is helmed by Chef Ralph Scamardella, whose menu balances dishes inspired by coastal southern Italy and influenced by Southern California produce while paying homage to LAVO’s signature Italian classics and his Italian-American background.

The beverage program features dramatic iterations on the classics alongside bold signature drinks. LAVO’s robust wine program complements the restaurant’s Italian inspiration and West Coast locale, featuring a vast selection of Old-World wines, as well as wines from California’s iconic regions.

    LAVO Los Angeles offers a secluded, 65-seat private dining room with a dramatic barrel-vaulted brick ceiling for private functions. The space can be divided for smaller parties based on availability, while the entire restaurant can be reserved upon request pending availability.

    All Night Happy Hour Monday-Thursday 5pm-10pm. Enjoy our daily selection of pizza plus a bottle of wine for $25, as well as specialty priced beers, seltzers, and cocktails. Please note the first hour 5-6pm is available exclusively at the lounge by reservation or the bar top which is first come first serve. The full dining menu will not be available until 6pm.

    We've been to Lavo before and have had great dining experiences. We went on New Year's Eve and did not have a very good dining experience. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and service was not the best. We had to ask for drinks and our food. I ordered the lobster diablo and it looked like it had been sitting a while before it was brought to me. The food was cold and pasta was under cooked. Lavo isn't cheap, so you expect the best.

    Gladys provided excellent service. I came with three of my girlfriends and it was all our first time at Lavo. We loved the atmosphere, the food, the service and the DJ was a nice surprise. He was right next to the booth we were at and played some of our favorites. From the garlic bread, pizza, carbonara & penne allá vodka… and the couple of different cocktails we had… we were very happy with our whole dining experience. Gladys was even kind enough to take some photos for us even though we know she must have been so busy as it was packed and a Saturday night. Please thank & acknowledge her wonderful service. I’m a manager in hospitality as well so I know when someone deserves the recognition. Thank you for the great experience, Lavo!

    Lavo offers a unique take on the classic Bolognese, and while it’s not your typical rendition, it’s absolutely delicious. The sauce is rich and flavorful, with a slightly different texture that sets it apart from the traditional version. The depth of flavors, combined with perfectly cooked pasta, creates a dish that’s both comforting and exciting. It’s not what you might expect, but it’s definitely a must-try for anyone looking for a fresh twist on an Italian favorite!

    I booked in advance a table for three. We got seated at a table that was clearly meant for two people. I asked to be seated somewhere else. They said the next available booth is in two hours. We ended up moving to sit in the bar area because there’s no way that the three of us could have our drinks or appetizers and our meals at the table at the same time. The food was decent, we asked for no bacon on one of the pastas and of course it came out with bacon. Therefore, our steak went cold as we waited for the pasta to come out. The dessert was very good. We got the hazelnut tart. Our server, Michael was great.  overall I will not be coming back. It is overpriced. The food was average, and the seating was not comfortable and claustrophobic.

    25th birthday was amazing at the LAVO, me and boyfriend had fantastic night with our two waiters, who names are Michael. They really know how treat the guest and have real knowledge on the menu ❤️ thank you again for great experience and I can’t wait come back again.

    This was my second time at LAVO and brought guests as well. Service was still exquisite and the food was top notch. No complaints of notes. It’s not cheap but sometimes you have to pay for nice things.

    Waitress did not/could not explain the correct proportions of the food and so we over ordered. Disappointed that a restaurant of this caliber could not deliver good service

    Stop looking and just book your reservation. We enjoyed every aspect of our dinner and would recommend this for any occasion. Great for a date night or family dinner. Portions are large so you are going to get a lot for your money and it's high quality to boot.
