Le Colonial is a celebration of seductive spirit and vivid flavors reminiscent of Saigon in the 1920s. With locations in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and Lake Forest, the famed Vietnamese restaurant is designed to capture a bygone era of romance and soft architecture. Heralded as "an escapist’s paradise," celebrated restaurateurs Rick Wahlstedt and Joe King deliver on exquisite attention to detail in a luxurious classic and idyllic atmosphere.

DRESS CODE:
We put all our love and effort in creating an unforgettable experience with you in mind. It is for this reason we politely ask that our guests return the favor by joining us sans any of the subsequent athleisure attire. No athletic wear or athletic attire, designer athletic lines of any kind and model, beach flip flops or any beach attire, athletic slides, tank tops (men), cut-offs, sweatpants, exposed undergarments and excessively revealing clothing for indoor and outdoor dining. No baseball caps. Seasonal changes may apply.

Horrible evening. Seated at 7o'clock for a party of 4 persons. Drinks came after 8 and 2 appetizers came 20 minutes later. 2 side dishes of garlic noodles came after 9 and the entrees came at 9:20. The noodles were obviously cold and could not be eaten with the entrees. The entrees were not good-salmon was raw and ordered well done, meat dish inedible. Needless to say no one ate their meals. The waitress excuse was that the kitchen was having issues and they were backed up in the kitchen. The waitress thanked us for our patience.!! We constantly had to ask for water. This request was usually ignored. This was our favorite restaurant and since it opened celebrated several occasions here. There is no reason to go to a place that does not value it's patrons.

This is such a beautiful restaurant and well run. Food was excellent . Nice friendly staff. They did an amazing job decorating . I felt like I was in French Polynesia!

Another enjoyable dining experience at the elegant Le Colonial. The Shaking beef, Shrimp stir fry and garlic noodles were all very good. Reliable with excellent service.

The food was disappointing and mediocre at best. The Beef entree was supposed to be caramelized but was not. The dumplings were average etc The atmosphere and service was very good but not enough to make up for very mediocre food.

First of all, the food is amazing, but unfortunately, our service tonight was not. Let’s start with the food. We started with fresh spring rolls and ravioli. Then we had the whole snapper big enough to feed six people,beef dish, chicken curry, salmon, and fried rice. Pineapple and coconut upside down cake and coconut Banana tapioca pudding. All were super delicious. The service on the other hand was off from the minute we sat down. Our waiter screwed up our drinks order. Then it took a while to order any food. Our use plates would be picked up and new plates would be forgotten to be put down from our waiter or any of the busters. Had to ask many times for water to refilled and they even forgot my cappuccino at the end of dinner. They just didn’t have their act together tonight. Kind of felt like the forgotten table in the back. This is one of our favorite restaurants from Chicago and we have love going to the one in Delray in the past. We will come back, but maybe not for a while.Hopefully management will train their staff better for this caliber of Restaurant.

This is one of my favorites restaurants in the area. The service the ambience the food are all wonderful. We were three diners and shared three appetizers and two main courses. Everything was delicious. We had the tuna tartare and the dumplings and the ribs. We had the shaken beef and the Bronzino Portions were substantial and the flavors were spectacular. I just have no idea where we would have put the food if we were four people. The table is very small and crowded. The food was served within five minutes of us ordering. That was a bit fast for our taste, but we were never felt rushed. our server was delightful and helpful and made sure that we were happy and satisfied.

When you are looking for a special culinary experience with all the accruements that go along with food; ambiance ; service this is a real gem. A little pricey but well worth it!

A unique atmosphere and vibe that stands out from all the other Delray restaurants. Service was excellent; so was the Food. The decor made you feel like, well, A Colonial! Great place. We will definitely go back.
