Legendary chef Michel Jacob passed the torch to his friend and Iron Chef America winner Rob Feenie in 2024, and Feenie still celebrates the restaurant's French origins while incorporating some of his West Coast roots. Expect Dover sole deboned tableside in an herb beurre blanc, steak tartare, and other classics served in an elegant white tablecloth dining room.

Available exclusively for two nights only, on March 25th and 26th, 2025, this special five-course menu is a signature of Alsace. Choucroute garnie is a hearty, celebratory dish traditionally enjoyed in wine taverns, featuring sauerkraut, Riesling, and a selection of cured and slow-cooked meats.                                                       Fantastic service and the food was amazing. Only negative was the table we were sat at was right in the middle of the restaurant. We would have preferred a window seat or along a wall.

                                                      The food was quite good and felt slightly lighter compared to when I visited before Rob Feenie took over. The sauces were still rich and decadent, so I’m not sure how they achieved that “lighter” feel — but kudos to the new team! The menu is noticeably smaller now, which has its pros and cons. While I appreciated having more options in the past, the streamlined menu made decisions easier and reduced the risk of ordering regret — so I can see the benefit. As for cocktails, some weren’t the greatest (notably the sidecar and espresso martini), but I really enjoyed the “Guillotine,” a refreshing sparkling wine cocktail with a fruit blend. My dad preferred his gin gimlet over the sidecar as well. Service-wise, the staff seemed a little nervous or possibly new. It didn’t quite feel as polished as before, which surprised me since the re-opening happened back in June 2024. That said, the team was polite and clearly trying their best, so I can’t fault them too much — it wasn’t a bad experience by any means. Overall, it was a nice evening. I had high expectations (perhaps unfairly so), but I’ve always enjoyed the food here, and with the recent refresh, I really liked the improved ambiance. The space feels more intimate now rather than a wide, open dining area, which I appreciated. I’d happily return for another visit — and please, bring back the chocolate soufflé!

                                                      Have not enjoyed a meal so much in a long time. Our waiter was great. The sable fish, endive salad, peppercorn steak, excellent wine and profiteroles could not have been better. Thank you Le Crocodile we’ll be back.

                                                      Service was very poor for a restaurant of this standard. Very unwelcoming and lack of charm from server. Menu was lackluster with very little imagination and creativity. Ambience was rather stale and devoid of vibrancy.
