Le French is a gourmet, casual-chic French bakery
and bistro located in Denver’s bourgeoning Belleview Station. Le French specializes in high-end pastries and elevated modern Parisian cuisine with global influences, a nod to the sisters’ heritage. Rougui – an award-winning and internationally-recognized chef – helms the restaurant’s kitchen as executive chef. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner every Tuesday through Sunday, Le French also offers an afternoon “Delightful Hour,” featuring carted tea service and small plates; a nightly dessert bar experience with after-dinner wines and classic French cocktails; and weekend brunch. The welcoming space features indoor and patio dining; a grab-and-go case with freshly made salads, sandwiches and pastries; and a carry-out counter. Le French is located at 4901 S. Charcuterie had no cheese, tough meat, and gross mystery mush. French onion soup was room temperature and congealed. The mussels were incredibly sandy and gritty to an inedible level and the sauce they were in had good flavor that was overpowered by salt. Drinks were decent. The service was not attentive and passive. Dinner was way more expensive than it was worth. Extremely disappointed in the food, service, and atmosphere.

We had a lovely lunch. The food was terrific. The noise level was a bit high and service a bit slow (but good). It was a busy day at the restaurant.

We ordered five different food items for lunch (like to take leftovers home), so got a nice variety of things to try. For appetizers we had the escargot and the poutine fries dish. The escargot had a dense olive tapenade in the oil which in my personal opinion made the overall taste too salty and overpowering to taste much of the snails. Not my favorite escargot, but I dunno, perhaps that’s the traditional French way. The poutine on the other hand, was excellent, with numerous rich flavors including pearl onions. For main dishes we had a Turkish fried chicken sandwich with greens and a salmon crepe dish. Both were interesting and flavorful and warranted two thumbs up. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse dish, which was excellent. So it would have been five stars for the food if not for my personal view of the escargot. As far as service our waitstaff was very friendly, but things overall seemed to progress just a bit slower than we might normally expect. The setting/vibe is also nice but not exceptional, although our experience was somewhat influenced by being seated in a back corner. Overall, it was a solid dining experience (and we would recommend to family and friends) although it wasn’t quite enough in our minds for five stars, which would mean exceptional.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant, and I have to say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, Randy and the entire team made me feel like a VIP. As a solo diner in town for a conference, I truly appreciated the attentiveness and care that was given to me throughout my meal. The food was absolutely incredible. The escargot was rich and buttery, cooked to perfection, and every bite was a delightful treat. The foie gras was beautifully paired with pistachio and a luscious reduction sauce that elevated its flavor to new heights. The mussels were another highlight—tender, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, each bite was a taste of the sea. To end the meal, the crème brûlée was one of the best I’ve ever had. It had the ideal balance of creamy custard and crisp, caramelized top. Every element of the meal was perfectly executed, and I truly couldn’t have asked for more. A special shout-out to Randy, who took amazing care of me. Her professionalism and attention to detail were top-notch, and she made sure I had everything I needed without even having to ask. Her mise en place was impeccable, and she made the experience feel effortless. I’m so grateful for the care and hospitality she provided. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for outstanding food and service!

Le French is always wonderful for brunch or dinner! The steak on the steak tartine is impeccable and tender. Love the poutine as well!

Server rude, called me "Sweetie". He had to be asked for everything, including steak knives with steak. Inexperienced, no manners. Steak poor quality. 1 lemonade, 1 iced tea, 2 steak frites $144 lunch. Not worth it and will not return. Restaurant was empty at weekday lunch. They are on their way out!
