At Le Papagayo Carlsbad Village you can expect live music nightly blended with the best in Coastal/Mediterranean/New American food and cocktails. With a full bar and service from 8am-10pm nightly you'll have ample opportunity to enjoy the newest addition to Carlsbad Village. Located conveniently off Carlsbad Village Dr. we are a short walk from State St and just off the freeway for easy access from either direction. We have a large public parking lot directly in front of the restaurant along with assigned parking off to the north end. Please come in and enjoy breakfast/lunch or dinner any day or night of the week and don't hesitate to call to see who's performing today :)

    The chefs have a heavy hand in salt. Sent the entree back as they were not edible. Waited 35 minutes for them to bring the new order which was so drenched in salt( the filet). No offer of a comp from the manager. We won't be returning.

    A very nice variety of food. The Tapas are on the larger side but all were fantastic.

    We shared the papagayo salad, coconut prawns and house made butternut squash ravioli and everything was flavorful and delicious! Service was attentive and atmosphere was great. We sat on outside patio. After a long drive from San Francisco it was a great stop. First time here and I would definitely recommend!

    Your skirt steak (6 of us ordered) as opposed to last time we ate in early January was NOT good. Not cooked well. Almost like steamed meat. Probably won’t be back.

    Lovely restaurant! Was visiting from out of state and sat on the covered patio. It was cool and rainy so the had heaters on and it was super cozy. We love the Ceviche- super fresh and flavorful, as well as the Birria Enchiladas!

    This is a great place for the whole family. It’s also a great place to bring friends from out of town, right in the center of the village of Carlsbad. The service is always great and the employees are professional and kind.
