At Le Papagayo Carlsbad Village you can expect live music nightly blended with the best in Coastal/Mediterranean/New American food and cocktails. With a full bar and service from 8am-10pm nightly you'll have ample opportunity to enjoy the newest addition to Carlsbad Village. Located conveniently off Carlsbad Village Dr. we are a short walk from State St and just off the freeway for easy access from either direction. We have a large public parking lot directly in front of the restaurant along with assigned parking off to the north end. Please come in and enjoy breakfast/lunch or dinner any day or night of the week and don't hesitate to call to see who's performing today :)

The food was absolutely outstanding, the live music was great and the drinks were top notch. We sat outside and even though it was under 60, we were quite comfortable with the heat they had on.

Food was disappointing. Thin sliced filet was scant. Blackened Shrimp Pasta was tasteless, though shrimp was good. Artisan bread was the best. Lemon drop was average despite asking for Tito’s vs house. Ambience is great. Appears to be a great sports bar w/ excellent placement of several TV’s vs a restaurant for a main meal. Overpriced given our experience.

We ordered three dishes, and all of them were excessively salty. The flavors were overwhelming due to the extra sauces and salt, making it an unpleasant experience. This was our first time dining here, and unfortunately, it will be our last.

The experience is different depending upon where you are seated. I recommend sitting near the band. So good!
