At Le Papagayo Carlsbad Village you can expect live music nightly blended with the best in Coastal/Mediterranean/New American food and cocktails. With a full bar and service from 8am-10pm nightly you'll have ample opportunity to enjoy the newest addition to Carlsbad Village. Located conveniently off Carlsbad Village Dr. we are a short walk from State St and just off the freeway for easy access from either direction. We have a large public parking lot directly in front of the restaurant along with assigned parking off to the north end. Please come in and enjoy breakfast/lunch or dinner any day or night of the week and don't hesitate to call to see who's performing today :)

Great food, awesome location and they even have music on some nights that they project on a TV if you are on the patio. Happy hour has two dollars off of basically everything and we love it.

Was there to see a friend play music. I reserved a table in the "band" room. The table was right up on the stage so not that comfortable. I feel like tables could have been staged better. Other than that, sound was great and food is good.

This is the 4th year that we celebrated New Year’s Eve here. This year everything was super Amazing… The filet mignon steak was cooked to perfection and it was cut like butter. Extra staff on duty and they were celebrating as they were working…. Unforgettable night

We always like Papagayo and have been there in the past for New Years Eve. The surf and turf was delicious. However one person had the crab stuffed halibut which was overcooked and dry. And the rice served with it was not cooked completely. I know it was New Years but it should be cooked correctly. Our service was fine but we had to remind them to bring a glass of wine. It was a busy night so we understood about the wine. The value was great for the special New Years Eve menu.

The food was wonderful, the waitress attentive, the music great. What more do you want on New Years Eve? I enjoy hearing live music at La Papagayo- Carlsbad!

We visited on New Year’s Eve and had reservations. We were seated outside in a nice fire pit table. Waitress completely forgot about us the entire night. We ordered and food never came then one of the dinners was enchiladas (tiny portion) and ice cold but no one ever came back. A manger happened to wander by and asked if we needed anything and we said yes the check. He brought us someone else’s check and no one came back to fix it. It was almost a joke at this point. We were joking about heating up our cold food on the fire pit. We didn’t order drinks or anything else because of the bad service. Paid and left. Happy New Year’s Eve! Haha and we took guests from out of town here based on our recommendation. :(

New years eve, so we expected a very noisy and crowded location. It was! Service staff was over the top in trying to maintain service, it was greatly appreciated!

The restaurant was very busy but the staff was friendly, upbeat, and very accomodating. Service was somewhat affected by the crowd but Tamara was a super great server! She got our drinks and coordinated our orders really well. Unfortunately our main dish (paella) was very dry and seemed to have sat in the kitchen for awhile before we received it. Our friends enjoyed their meals (enchiladas & chicken piccata). The runners were busy but remained friendly and gracious. Everyone checked on our table often to see to our needs. The butter cake dessert was awesome! Great ambiance and live music! We've eaten there before and the food's been wonderful. We were just a little disappointed with our choice of entree.
