Le Vacherin is a Classic French bistro with a Parisian style, serving regional dishes. The restaurant caters for 72 covers, with a private room if required providing for parties of any number.
It is a non-smoking restaurant and welcomes children.
It currently holds two AA rosettes, it has been voted by Zagat 2014 as 5th best French bistro in London, holds two forks and knives on Michelin guide.

Superb food and always worth a visit just for that. But also friendly staff and a classic interior with a vibrant atmosphere when full that is not getting into the way of the conversation on your table.

Instead of Sunday lunch roast we went for the shared Chateaubriand and both enjoyed very much. Very relaxed dining atmosphere plus quiet and able to talk easily versus many local restaurants and gastropubs.

Le Vacherin never dissapoints. I have not been there for years, decided to come back for my girlfriends birthday dinner and it was fantastic. It's a pure gem and I am happy this place is still standing its ground strong with pure quality from begining to the end.

Lovely French restaurant. We went for the set lunch menu which is value for money. The twice baked soufflé with beetroot sorbet was absolutely delicious. Will definitely return. Excellent for a birthday celebration.

Very poor experience This review is written with sadness as we used to be regulars and made donations to the restaurant when closed during covid. We haven't been for a while so returned tonight. Service was so slow as to be unbelievable. We ordered at 7.30, the starter arrived at 8.15 and the main course arrived at 9.15. When the main courses did arrive the dishes were unremarkable - I appreciate by then the experience may have been impacting our view on the food but that's why service matters. Only when we complained did we get any apology. Service was taken off the bill but no other genuine effort was made to say sorry. It felt like a conveyor belt and the apology not heartfelt - was blamed on "replating" but we didnt believe that. There are plenty of other choices in Chiswick now and sadly we won't be going back. To clarify on restaurant response: The comment re charity was to highlight we have been fans so no pre conceived negative view. Good to know also that we needn't have bothered so thanks The comment re apology has not changed in spirit. We only received an apology after we complained before the main course Starters were also supremely slow to be served - these had not been served to another table as far as I understand so this remains unexplained - they took 45 mins from ordering We were told the delay for the mains was as had been "replated" as if the dish had fallen on the floor- I suggest honesty would have been the best policy. Why were we not told the truth we understand mistakes happen I amended the comment about the impact of service on the food to remain balanced as was trying to be as forgiving as possible Of course in time we may have come back - equally given the aggeessive tone of your response we are clearly not welcome so we won't Last comment - this a hospitality business - I see there have been equally aggressive responses to others querying quality of service. You may wish to think about this Best regards

Sir, thank you for your feedback. You changed your review overnight. You stated you didn't receive any apology, now that you got one but it was not heartfelt. Which one is it then? You said that the food was unremarkable, now the waiting biased your point of view on the food. It is unfair to quote the food as unremarkable if it is not true, isn't it? We know service matters, and that is why we apologize. A waitress put your main course on the wrong table, the Chef had to recook, if you choose not to believe it.. Your note on the donation reminds us of people doing charity and then feeling the need to tell everyone,:you were a regular for many years, and for the only time you waited for a main course, you decided not to come anymore? It sounds a bit extreme. Warmest regards,
