Situated in The Castle Hotel, Leaf is right in the heart of historic Windsor offering casual dining which combines classic British and modern European flavours. Steeped in history and with regal connections, Leaf is the perfect spot for brunch, a leisurely lunch, a delicious afternoon tea and a decadent dinner.

Executive Head Chef Suraj Lokhande works closely with independent suppliers to bring the best flavours to the dishes. The menus include comforting classics, vegan options and British artisan cheeses paired with local beers from Windsor & Eton Brewery. The alfresco terrace is a city oasis which is ideal for dining in the warmer months and enjoying a tipple or two after a day’s sightseeing.

Offering one of the best afternoon teas in Windsor, the talented team have developed a stunning Royal afternoon tea featuring freshly baked scones with clotted cream, sumptuous sandwiches and an array of delicious patisserie, paired with traditional tea blends from Darvilles of Windsor.

A stunning venue and a delicious afternoon tea. The staff was lovely though we were left hanging for a while. Overall a great experience in beautiful Windsor.

Fantastic staff, ambience and venue fabulous. Extremely disappointed with the Sunday lunch set menu. We had smoked salmon starter- 1 very thin slice of smoked salmon with 2 tiny bits of dry biscuit/bread and a few capers. Really really disappointing. We all had roast beef for the mains. Beef so tough/ sinewy really needed Steak Knives. Very thick fat inedible, we all left it and asked for it to be put in a doggy bag for one of our party who has a dog. Roast potatoes, just white boiled looking , not roasted at all. Cauliflower cheese rock hard, again inedible and left. Desserts were the best part of the meal. All 4 of us were very disappointed with the food we can not recommend it to anyone. Sorry if this review seems harsh but it’s true and honest. What we all agreed on is the staff were extremely polite, helpful and friendly. They could not have been any better. Such a shame the food was so poor.

From arriving to leaving we were felt very unwelcome. The staff were focussed on the next wedding, and we were constantly ignored and badly treated. Terrible experience, won’t be going back.

Messed up the order. Literraly only 2 options and they gave they served the wrong one. Server checked on us never. Had to constantly go to front counter for attention. Food was very plain in flavor.

Absolutely lovely afternoon tea experience done right! Coronation chicken wraps were especially outstanding. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Windsor.

Had an amazing afternoon tea for my birthday. The room is beautifully decorated and the service was exceptional. Food was delicious, great quality.

Service was really bad. From sitting down we waited 25 mins for someone to come by our table and we asked for a vegetarian menu and 2 glasses of water. This took another 15 mins to come and we had to re ask for them again. The food was tasty but I was very very disappointed with the service. We had to ask for more tea, I had to remind them I ordered a glass of champagne, I asked for sweeteners and never received this.

The service wasnt great and we didn't really know who our waiter was. We had a manager that helped us originally but then never really came back consistently. She was friendly and helpful but never had anyone come back and ask for drinks etc. For high tea, they didn't leave tea on the table which was odd. We were told they ran out of tea pots but the restaurant wants that full. We had to hunt down someone just to get tea. The ambiance was amazing and very photo worthy.
