Went there for restaurant week. The price for restaurant week lunch is $32. A cup of chowder =$9 and a fish sandwich = $19 in the regular menu. The cheesecake based on the restaurant week price would be $4. Not sure if I would go there for restaurant week again.

Very disappointing. We waited a long time before we could order our meal. The chowder was great. Two of the entree orders were for the special mahi mahi tacos, which arrived cold. One of the entrees arrived with the wrong fish (cod instead of sole), and nobody checked in with us after its delivery. We had to flag down a different server, which took quite a while, and ask them to locate our server. The server took the plate and did not return with the correct food for over half an hour - by which time the other three had finished their meal. The sole was very good but the steak tips were limp and underseasoned. No apologies or comps or anything.

Legal Seafood has dropped in quality since it was bought from the Berkowitz family. The crab cakes were sad, pale lumps that couldn't even hold their shape. The lobster bisque was a thin broth compared to how it used to be. It also lacked depth of flavor, mostly tasting like a bland high-sodium broth. The clam chowder was also a thinner consistency. Even the rolls seemed more deflated than they used to be. I have also eaten at the Legal Seafoods in Peabody and found that to be poor quality as well. I was hoping it was a location problem but sadly it appears that Legal Seafoods is no longer a dependable go-to.

Always enjoyed Legal Seafood. Last night was the exception. I am not a seafood eater but go to legal because the wife is. I was always able to get a good steak there. We had an early dinner reservation and took part in the prefix menu for the Boston Restaurant week. My wife enjoyed her Strip Bass. Her side of butternut squash was just a bit under cooked. I got the sirloin tips with rice and Butternut squash sides. The tips weren't real tips, at least not the typical sirloin tips you buy at the supermarket (FLAP MEAT). I am a meat cutter. Maybe they were Technically "Sirloin tips" but they were a cheaper piece of sirloin cut into chucks. Felt more like a stew beef. The rice was bland, and my butternut squash was also a bit undercooked. Bread was warm and delicious, and the service was great.

My husband and I were there for our usual Saturday "lupper" (around 3:00). I had one of the specials, shrimp in a pesto cream sauce, and it was excellent. My husband had one of the "Dine Out Week" offerings, chowder, Anna's haddock, and cheesecake, and he was very happy with his, too. Our server, Trina, was her usual stellar self. (PSA: Remember to tip well during restaurant week because servers lose money when the deals mean lower prices.) :)
