The iconic, l’escale restaurant bar, or “port of call” for seasonal Mediterranean cuisine is designed to transport the ambiance of Provence to the Gold Coast of Connecticut. Two-hundred-year-old stone terra cotta tiles from Provence adorn the floors with a wood burning fireplace lending an unmistakable charm and beauty.

Located at Delamar Greenwich Harbor Hotel, the restaurant’s intimate decor, along with its wrought iron tonelle covered waterfront terrace and exquisitely designed menu by award winning Executive Chef Frederic Kieffer will deliver the Côte d’Azur right to your table.

    Typically our go to for a nice dinner , best chicken paillard around. Tonite , It was inedible . Not even sure it was all chicken To their credit, comped the desserts and took the main off the bill, didn’t get sick, so that’s a plus . Ambience and Service always top notch, maybe just an off nite . Lot of other places to go. Won’t be back for a while

    We had a bouquet of flowers and the staff kindly offered to place them in water during our dinner. The staff at L’Escale is always full service and the cuisine is superb!

    Went for an anniversary dinner. The dining room is nicely appointed. For a Mon night, it was about a quarter full, so noise level was minimum. We were seated promptly. Started out with drinks. Their signature cocktail hit the spot. Hubby's Bordeaux was just what he wanted. One misstep to start out with - the complimentary amuse buche was placed on the table and explained to my husband while I was discussing food choice with the primary waiter, so there was overlapping conversation. Plus, I didn't understand exactly what it was. Definitely a faux pas, but from then on, service was impeccable. My two indicators are: Spreadable butter and how empty my water glass gets. Glad to say it was never more than 2/3 empty before it was refilled. We split their signature salad, which was very very good. Husband had the cod which he enjoyed. I had the full serving of truffle pasta. This was definitely a splurge and though I'm glad I did it, not sure it was worth the price. We split an amazing chocolate hazelnut desert and the kitchen was kind enough to send a complementary fruit and cookie platter with a sparkler. Ended on a fun note. This place is definitely worth it for a special dinner. The entire team worked together for service and made it a very nice evening. Note for vegetarians: Many salad options, one soup option and three pasta options, of which two were gnocchi. Wish they had slightly more diverse options, but I have to say, everything I had was deliciously good.

    We had a fabulous brunch. The service was friendly and attentive, truly some of the best service I have had in a long time. My Bellini was great and my Salad Nicoise was excellent. We also enjoyed the dense rich chocolate mousse to finish off our meal. A lovely start to our Sunday.
