Located in the historic district, Lewes Oyster House honors the rich heritage of ubiquitous and democratic oyster consumption in 18th and 19th century Middle Atlantic taverns and oyster houses. We serve inspired tavern fare, expertly prepared with fresh, regionally-sourced ingredients along with crisp lagers, interesting wines, and artisanal cocktails. All that, and a whole lot of love.

Please join us for lunch Tuesdays through Saturdays in the Tap Room, Oyster Bar or Main Bar. We do not accept reservations for lunch.

Walk-ins for dinner are always welcome first-come first-served at the Oyster and Main bar areas, all evening long beginning at 5 p.m.

Online reservations for dinner are VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for the Walsh Room and Tap Room.

    On Sunday, January 26th, join us for an exclusive 5-Course Wine Dinner where Chef Sean Corea and Diego Lascano will guide you on a culinary journey celebrating the wines of Australia. Guests will enjoy wines from Giant Steps, Hickenbotham and Yangarra Estate. Join us for an evening of education, indulgence, and inspiration that will tantalize your taste buds and ignite your imagination. Reserve your place today and experience a night you won't soon forget. The evening will begin with a sparkling reception at 6pm at our Oyster Bar, where Chef Sean and Diego will greet guests. Please arrive promptly. This is a collaborative wine dinner, and seating will be shared between guest parties.

  • Duck Rillette Tartine

    Confit Duck, sweet potato mustard, pickled beech mushroom, lingonberry jam, fresh purslane

      Preserved meyer lemon, fennel, pink peppercorn, champagne, serrano peppers

        Chive crema, hackleback caviar, everything egg yolk gel, chive baton

                          Fabulous evening in the off season for oyster night! Sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartenders. Delicious oysters at inky $2 each!

                          Oyster night was a great experience. Only down fall is we had a reservation at 7:15 and didn’t get seated until 7:30

                          The service and the food were both exceptional. The noise level was terrible. There were a number of ties I had to ask my friends to repeat themselves to carry on the conversation. I had thought that this would be a "quiet" night, but no. So, love the food not the noise.

                          Great drinks especially the Smokeshow, lobster ravioli and octopus appetizers were fantastic. The damn good burger is the best we’ve ever had and the truffle fries are the icing on the cake.

                          Thoroughly enjoyed dinner here for my birthday. (Although they never recognized my birthday but it was on the reservation). Beautiful decor, cozy, nice bar area, great menu and delicious food. We will return.
